Every couple dreams that their wedding day will be the most beautiful, sunny day possible.  The reality is that this isn’t always the case.  Fortunately when it comes to your wedding video all is not lost.  Through the technology of color correction a gray day can often be made to look much brighter and dull skies can be made blue.  Color correcting video is a process that happens in the post production phase of creating a video.  It is a technology that was once reserved only for the highest end movie and TV productions but due to advancements in this area WaveCrest Productions is able to bring this technology to your wedding video.

Enhancements

When done well, color correction can make a nice looking video look spectacular.  Here are a couple of frames taken from a video.  These are before and after images of a color corrected video.  As you can see the picture on the left looks fine by itself but once the correction is added the colors are much brighter and the overall look warmer as well as adding depth (click on the images to see them larger). 

Style

Another advantage to color correction is the ability to create an individual style.  By adding a sepia tone to the image the video can take on an old world style or by adding extra blacks the video can take on a cinematic style.  The possibilities are as numerous as the number of colors in the world.    As you can see with this video the image on the left is the original.  On the right is the color corrected image.  We have given it a vignette, or halo, around the edges creating a softer, even more romantic look for the image.
